During the operation of the belt conveyor, conveyor belt deviation is one of the most common faults. There are many reasons for this phenomenon, the main reasons are low installation accuracy and inadequate daily maintenance. In order to ensure the normal operation of the conveyor belt, it is necessary to start from installation to daily maintenance.
During installation, the head and tail rollers and the middle rollers should be on the same center line as much as possible and parallel to each other. This is to ensure that the conveyor belt does not deviate or deviates less. In addition, the belt joints should be correct and the circumferences on both sides should be the same, which is also the key to preventing deviation.
During the use of the belt conveyor, if deviation occurs, the following inspection and adjustment methods can be used to identify the problem and correct it.
Check the misalignment between the horizontal centerline of the roller and the longitudinal centerline of the belt conveyor. If the misalignment value exceeds 3mm, you can use the long mounting holes on both sides of the roller group to make adjustments. The specific method is to move the roller group forward to the direction of the conveyor belt, or move the other side backward.
Check the deviation of the two planes of the bearing seats of the head and tail racks. If the deviation of the two planes is greater than 1mm, the two planes should be adjusted to be in the same plane. The specific adjustment method is: if the conveyor belt deviates to the right side of the roller, the bearing seat on the right side of the roller should be moved forward or the bearing seat on the left side should be moved backward. Vice versa. The adjustment method of the tail roller is exactly the opposite of that of the head roller.
Check the position of the material on the conveyor belt. Material not centered on the cross section of the conveyor belt will also cause the conveyor belt to deviate. If the material deviates to the right, the belt will deviate to the left, and vice versa. To reduce or avoid this type of conveyor belt deviation, you can add a baffle to change the direction and position of the material so that it is as centered as possible.
Through accurate installation and meticulous daily maintenance, the belt conveyor can be effectively prevented from deviation. If deviation occurs, the above three aspects of inspection and adjustment methods can be used to ensure the normal operation of the conveyor belt and improve production efficiency.
